What’s your story? Your parents’ stories? Everyone has one, if not many: stories that define your life, that have made you who you are. Especially as we — and those we love — grow older, those stories become more valuable, more precious. More important to preserve.
I’ve been blessed to work with many people on biography and oral history projects, collecting and telling stories in ways that honor individuals and their memories.
Most recently, the University of North Carolina Graduate School office commissioned me to write Giving Is Good for the Soul: The Life and Legacy of Charles and Shirley Weiss. The biography follows two UNC professors from early childhood to the present, telling of their vibrant lives, their careers as UNC professors, and their establishment of UNC’s first interdisciplinary graduate student fellowship.

Tell your story. The world literally would not be the same without it. Too often our stories go untold, leaving gaping holes when we and those we love pass on without recording our memories.
I would love to help you or your loved one tell your story, creating a beautifully bound memoir that will last for posterity. You might also consider a video biography, which preserves beloved voices and images as well as stories.
